PROJECTS

Paul founded Rewriting Extinction, a cross-charity campaign to bring new people into environmentalism involving household names like Taika Waititi, Leo DiCaprio, Cara Delevingne, Adam McKay, Paul McCartney and over 300 more. The project has reached over 150m people organically, saved 625 species and changed the narrative in environmentalism.

Paul is a founding partner and Chief Creative Officer for Rewired Earth – a project harnessing the U.N. Sustainable Development Goals to create a global language by which they measure the impact businesses have, and conversely, how the wider public inform businesses about what they care about most. The project seeks to take $35tn and place it in planetary positive projects and includes partners such as Microsoft, PwC, Kantar etc.

As one of the founding team behind BAFTA Albert, Paul and Richard Smith helped transition Albert from a BBC production tool into an industry wider carbon calculator for the broadcasting industry. Now used by hundreds of productions from Netflix, NBC Universal, Warner Bros, BBC, Channel 4 and hundreds more across the planet, saving thousands of tonnes of carbon every minute.

Paul founded multi award-wining digital agency Aerian Studios (now Aer Studios) at the age of 17 years old, transforming it into one of the most celebrated companies in the industry, and at its height being responsible for over 2% of internet traffic through the website, services, apps and games they made. Paul crafted key partnerships and projects with Red Bull, Warner Bros, CNN, BBC, Cartoon Network and UK Gov amongst many others.

Football, planetary and Gay Rights

Alongside Tim Brown, Paul founded gay-friendly team Trowbridge Tigers in their local community – a LGBTQ+ friendly football team back in 2009, when sadly homophobia, transphobia, prejudice and violence was rife in grassroots football. Paul and Tim have toured the world with the team helping bridge the gap between mainstream football and marginalised groups, by creating and being part of tournaments and competitions whereby people inside and outside the LGBTQ+ community can meet and play in a safe space. Paul and Tim are also winners of the 2008 GFSN World Cup and Paul was part of the 2023 Green Football Weekend launch with Liverpool, Man City, Chelsea etc.
